Bottlenote
Bottlenote is a collective of creative musicians involved in improvised and new music in Dublin.
Bottlenote is an artist-led project dedicated to presenting Dublin's leading musicians working in improvised music today. Regularly presenting music in diverse venues including The Joy Gallery, The National Concert Hall, JJ Smyths, Odessa Club, etc. They have also put on shows as part of Dublin Electronic Arts Festival, 12 Points! Festival and their own Bottlenote Festival now in its third year.
Audiences following Dublin's underground jazz and improvised music scenes over the last decade will be familiar with the members of this enterprise and many of the groups involved boasting Ireland's leading musicians. The concert programming and recordings illustrate just how varied, exciting and all encompassing contemporary music made here can be.
