Dublin's collective of musicians working in improvised music

about us

Bottlenote Music is an artist-led project dedicated to presenting Dublin's leading musicians working in improvised music today. Their formation, in 2006, arose organically making sense to pool resources when it came to programming gigs and creating a central point of information through our website. The online home is packed with free downloads, video clips and information about our upcoming series of concerts.

Audiences following Dublin's underground jazz and improvised music scenes over the last decade will be familiar with the members of this enterprise and many of the groups involved. From the award winning avant-garde folk stylings of Trihornophone to the twisted electronica of The Zoid Ensemble, or pianist Greg Felton's trio described by The Irish Times as “The most gifted young pianist on the scene” and groups like Togetherness which boast Ireland's leading musicians our concerts and recordings will illustrate just how varied, exciting and all encompassing contemporary music made here can be.
