Awkward Silence

Awkward Silence started out as a duo collaboration between guitarists Simon Jermyn and Shane Latimer and has since grown to regularly include two saxophones (Seán Óg and Cathal Roche) and two drummers (Matt Jacobson and Shane O’Donovan).

Their music is strongly focused on an ensemble sound rather than individual soloists. Soundscapes, microtonal melodies, loops and beats are the kinds of things that Awkward Silence like to work with.
