Red Rocket

Red Rocket is Joachim Badenhorst (BE) - tenor sax/clarinet, Simon Jermyn - guitar/electronics and Sean Carpio - drumkit.

They've been playing together for about 5 years now and so far, have toured The Netherlands, Belguim and Luxemburg, perfromed a composition commision for Project Arts Centre, Dublin, made a record with singer-songwriter Rebecca Collins, gigged at a very nice little cafe in Greenpoint, NYC (with special guest Jacob Wick of White Rocket fame), played Dublin's fringe festival, been invited to London by the LOOP collective and made a record for the Brussels based RAT records at the top of a very round tower in a forest near Antwerp.

They are awfully fond of exceptionally long sentences and in keeping with this tendency have decided to use words like loud, soft, angry, introverted, extroverted, dense, sparse, group based, new, old, compositional and improvised to describe the kind of music they generally like to play. There is a good chance you would like them.
