Trot A Mouse: Loren Stillman - alto sax, Chris Speed - tenor sax / clarinet, Joachim Badenhorst - bass clarinet, Simon Jermyn - electric bass / baritone guitar, Sean Carpio - drums.

Simon Jermyn is releasing his debut album Trot A Mouse in May 2008 on Barcelona's Fresh Sound New Talent record label. The album features 11 of Simon's compositions written over a 2 year period while living in Reykjavik, Den Haag, New York and Dublin.
The music is based around song forms and finding some kind of group sound. Influences abound. Folky melodies, grooves in different meters, soundscapes, unexpected changes in direction, solos, good stuff in general. The album was recorded at Stats studion in Brooklyn, NYC while Simon was living there for a few months.
The band features one of Simon's big influences and favourite musicians, Chris Speed on tenor sax and clarinet, as well as the amazing NYC based alto saxophonist Loren Stillman. The other two musicians present are two of Jermyn's long time collaborators, Belgian bass clarinetist Joachim Badenhorst and Irish drummer Sean Carpio, (these two plus Simon = Red Rocket, you see).
