luas tube

'The public space of the city is the presence of other bodies' 'Public space is leaving home' Vito Acconci.

Luas Tube explores this notion of public space and how public space can become private. What is personal space? Is there such a thing in public space? What are our boundaries? Drawing from Edward T. Hall's seminal writings on personal space or what he terms proxemics, Luas Tube highlights our desire to maintain personal space in the public sphere.

Luastube was presented as part of Culturstruction, a series of art events and screenings investigating ways in which artists can both playfully and provocatively stimulate debate on architecture, planning and the built environment.
