Tea & Sympathy:
Tea & Sympathy consisted of light refreshments with a twist. The artist offered the unsuspecting tea drinker instructions for creating friendships. With the consideration of how our changing society is affecting how we relate to each other, constructed senarios like lunch clubs or book clubs and in particular the internet offer a way for us to break from the norm and interact with different people in a highly defined and systematic way. Similarly Tea & Sympathy freed the potential in such a gathering to create new 'communities' and interactions.
