15th October 2008 - Dublin City Council Launch Open Spaces

Dublin City Council Launched Open Spaces, a programme of partnered events, talks and critical responses through which they aim to stimulate dialogue, inspire new thought and suggest creative partnerships to support artists' engagement with Dublin's open spaces. The launch also presented Vagabond Reviews'commissioned research into international models and programmes which support innovative engagement of artists with urban and suburban open space. 01st October 2008 - Out Of Site to use Tom De Paor's Pumping Station in Clontarf

Dublin City Council have given the go ahead for Dennis McNulty's 'infrastructure/flow' performance to be presented inside award winning Tom De Paor's Pumping Station on the Clontarf Seafront. This will be a unique opportunity for the general public to view the inside of this iconic landmark on the north city coastline. The performance will be presented to small audiences between 4.30 - 6pm. Watch out for info on how to book a place.

15th September 2008 - The new and improved Out Of Site website goes live

Out Of Site gets a new look website which is launched in September 2008 with an improved archive of past work and information on the artists, our upcoming event Promenade in Clontarf and more. The new website was designed by Kanian Design

29th August 2008 - Dublin Port Autority sponsors Promenade

In August Dublin Port Authority came on board as one of the sponsors of Promenade, an Out Of Site event being held along the Clontarf seafront in November. Dublin Port Company supports a range of social, environmental, sporting and educational initiatives which benefit the community that has close links with the port. Out Of Site thank Dublin Port for their generosity and support.

05th July 2008 - Dublin City Council Arts Office join Out Of Site as the main funder for Promenade

Dublin City Council have joined forces with Out Of Site to present Promenade a day of site specific performances along Clontarf Seafront in Dublin 3. Promenade will take place on November 8th and will be part of Open Spaces a series of seminars discussion and arts initiatives that seek to explore the possibilities of innovative contemporary arts practice in the city's urban and suburban open spaces.

Out Of Site in association with Create present Risk, a seminar exploring the relationship between risk taking and innovation live art practice. The seminar will take place in The Odessa Club on Dame Court at 4pm. The Seminar is Chaired by Aine Philips and features Sandra Johnston, LIGNA, Carole Lung, Aileen Lambert and Fergus Byrne.

20th October 2008 - Out of Site Call for Volunteers for Promenade

Out of Site welcomes all volunteers for Promenade on 8th of November. If you wish to get involved please contact us at outofsitefestival@gmail.com. Out Of Site has invited 10 established and emerging artists to respond to this unique site. Volunteers will provide support to the artists, will ensure the safety of the audience and will act as an information point for passersby. Each volunteer will need to be available on the 8thNovember from 10- 7pm and for a briefing meeting before the event. This is an opportunity for those interested in performance and those in organising events in Dublin City to experience first hand the workings of Out of Site.
